Meet the Match: Tammy Pearson and Robert

Meet Robert, a freshman at Marion High School, and mentor Tammy Pearson who participate in Project Leadership’s mentoring program, which matches community volunteers with local Twenty-first Century Scholar students.

Career goals: Become a scientist.
Favorite subject: Physics (anything science).
Favorite book: The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick.
Hobbies/Interests: Video games, reading, golf, swimming, girls.
Family: Parents, Bob and Cindy; brother, Brad; sister, Lauran.
School: Marion High School.

Career goals: To be meaningful in my work and help youths understand the importance of pursuing education after high school.
Favorite subject: English.
Favorite book: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It’s a powerful message delivered with few words for readers of all ages.
Hobbies/interests: Family field trips, reading, writing, designing.
Family: Husband, Phil; daughter, Emma; son, Abraham.
School: Ball State University.
