Meet the Match: Mike Manning and Angelo

Meet Angelo, a sophomore at Mississinewa High School, and mentor Mike Manning who participate in Project Leadership’s mentoring program, which matches community volunteers with local Twenty-first Century Scholar students.

Career goals: History or Zoology Teacher.
Favorite subject: Geography and World History.
Favorite book: Of Mice and Men.
Hobbies/Interests: Watching and playing football, math.
Family: Mother, Tammy Yeomans; Father, Kyle Yeomans.
School: Mississinewa High School.

Mike Manning

Career: Christian Higher Education – Administrative Faculty at IWU
Favorite subject in high school: Journalism
Favorite book: I love reading auto-biographies and stories about successful athletes and incredible achievements – some recent favorites include: Into Thin Air; Running with the Buffalos; and It is not about the Bike.
Hobbies/interests: Running, cycling and motorsports
Family members: My wife and I have two daughters and son
School: Chandler High School, OK; Eastern Oklahoma State College; Sterling College, KS; Arkansas State University and I am currently enrolled in the Ed.D. program at IWU
